The Guided Payroll Implementation provides you with the following support mechanisms:

  • Access to our daily live Q&A webinar sessions, where our consultants will demonstrate the payroll platform and answer customer questions
  • Support via email

This implementation service does not cover direct phone access to our consultants or 1:1 meetings with our consultants. If you need additional support, please reach out to our team via email. Don’t worry – we’ll be here from the setup of your system to your first live pay run.

In this open live Q&A session the consultant will demonstrate any topics relating to configuration or pay run issues you have encountered during your implementation, or any questions you have from the on demand content.

System Integration

During this LIVE webinar you will follow along with the consultant to integrate Employment Hero Payroll and HR platforms. This will include the clearing of conflicts which occur during this process. In addition you will be provided an overview of the HR system for your payroll data which is now managed from HR. Pre-Requisite for attendance; employees loaded and test pay runs completed.

Required 1: Initial Payroll Settings

Enter or check your company details, and setup your banking details so you can generate bank files.

Required 2: Adding Pay/Deduction Categories, Leave Categories & Accruals

In this core workshop you will learn how and why you need to manage and create pay and deduction categories. Also included is creation and modification of leave categories and accruals and setting up Custom Leave Templates.

Required 3: Employee Data

Importing your employee data is a key part of working in the payroll system. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge on how to export a template to capture your data and also how to import the completed data template into your payroll.

Supplementary: Rostering Functionalities

This workshop will assist you with understanding Roster templates and how to create your own roster sets and shifts. Have you ever wanted to cost your rostering as you design it. By enrolling in this workshop you will see how Employment Hero can cost and budget through the roster functionality.

Supplementary: ClockMeIn and Timesheet Management

This workshop is recommended for organisations who require staff to log their time. Using an iPad at your worksite with the Clockmein app, your employees will clock in and out and their timesheets will import directly to the payroll system.. This will allow you to import clocked timesheets into your payroll system for each pay cycle. This elective is for people who need to configure the ClockMeIn app.

Supplementary: Workzone and Timesheet Management

This workshop is recommended for organisations who require staff to log their time. Employees’ who download the Workzone app to their personal devices and can clock in and out and the timesheets will import directly to the payroll system. This will allow you to import clocked timesheets into your payroll system for each pay cycle. This elective is for people who need to configure the Workzone app.

Supplementary : Employment Hero HR/Swag and Timesheet Management

This workshop is recommended for organisations who require staff to log their time. Using the Employment Hero HR timesheets function, your employees can log their start and finish times. Once approved, these timesheets will flow directly to the payroll. This will allow you to import clocked timesheets into your payroll system for each pay cycle. This elective is for people who need to configure the Employment Hero HR app.

Chart of Accounts - API Connection

In this workshop you will gain an overview of how Chart of Accounts are mapped and connected to your pay journals via an API for our Xero, Netsuite, Sassu or QBO customers.

In this workshop you will gain an overview of how Chart of Accounts are mapped and connected to your pay journals for those users that require a Manual File Integration.

Required 5: Running a Payroll

This workshop will provide you with an overview of the process to run a payroll, from creating a pay run to finalising a pay run and then lodging your pay event with your tax authority. You will also be exposed to adjusting tax, leave and super within a pay run as well as deductions before finalising a pay run, publishing your payslips, downloading your bank file and final reporting to your tax authority.

Required 6: IRD connection, Entering Opening Balances and Historical Data (NZ)

In this session you will have demonstrated how to connect your payroll to the IRD as well as how to utilise our downloadable sheets to complete the data requirements for opening balances and historical data for the system to calculate the correct AWE/OWP.
